Accounts Payable Accountant | Online Shoe Retailer | London | Hybrid | £30-35K
Consumer Additions are currently partnering with an iconic shoe retailer who are looking for Accounts Payable Assistant to join their London-based team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to take ownership of the AP, managing the suppliers as well as doing regular reconciliations and leading payment runs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices, including pricing, quantities, and terms.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Ensure payments are made within agreed-upon terms and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors to resolve issues and improve payment processes.
- Reconcile and review expense reports submitted by employees, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Process and reimburse employee expenses in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts payable ledgers.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or outstanding issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all account's payable transactions.
- Ensure compliance with record retention policies.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
