Group Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting timelines and structure across the group which consists of 19 subsidiaries, including templates for monthly reporting to be submitted by subsidiaries
  • Monthly reporting and supporting documentation submitted by subsidiaries and identify and issues
  • Provide clear technical accounting guidance (including written technical accounting papers) on arising including the impact of changes to IFRS standards on the Group
  • Process intercompany reconciliations and ensuring they are applied directly, reviewing preparation of intercompany invoices, adjustments, trade balances, loans and the reconciliation of all intercompany balances
  • Ensuring intercompany balances are appropriately eliminating on consolidation of foreign exchange risk, exposure and reporting group policies around financial processes and controls and ensuring these are adhered to by accounting teams
  • Liase closely with the global tax manager to ensure intercompany processes and policies are with the appropriate tax legislation and the group is not exposed to unnecessary risk closing with our Asia teams to ensure accurate timely reporting
  • Audit responsibilities, including the statutory audit timetable with external auditors and Finance managers. Audit requests and taking ownership to ensure the process stays on track to meet the timelines.
  • Review of year end statutory reporting including international subsidiaries within the group
  • Review of any branch returns required by local tax authorities and liaising with teams
  • reserves (distributable and non-distributable) to ensure items are classified
  • The group financial accounting policies are maintained and updated to reflect the accounting reporting requirements across different jurisdictions

Key Requirements:

  • Accountant from top accounting firm (ACA/ACCA)
  • Knowledge of IFRS and experience in completing and reviewing consolidations
  • Able to work at pace and with the good discipline to approach the production and documentation of in an effective manner
  • Curiosity with a drive to improve financial accounting discipline within a business
  • Line manager experience is ideal
  • Team player with strong communication skills both written and verbal
